What type of flowers should I use.?

I am starting a flower garden. What type of flowers and greenery would go good together.

What type of flowers should I use.?
First question is: What is your garden site like? Sunny? Shady? Both? When does it get sun, and for how long?



Once you know those answers, you go to a nursery, and ask what kinds of plants would do well in those conditions. They will have plants that do well in your part of the country. Competely different plants do well in the north than in the south. Completely different.



Also, what colors do you like? When would it be important to have something blooming in your garden? How much work are you willing to do? Do you need stuff you can put in and forget about? Or are you willing to spend some time taking care of fussier plants that may be fabulous?
