What is the best weed killer that won't kill my other flowers?

I'm wondering if anyone knows the best weed killer that won't damage my flowers and shrubs. It is going in my flower beds not in my grass. I don't have any tanbark down so the weeds are crazy!

Oh and I also prefer to spray it on using my garden hose and to not have to pull the existing weeds first. I know I know...wishfull thinking.

Please help!

Yup. Wishfull thinking. The best thing to use is on the end of your arm.

Get the weeds up, ALL OF THEM, and spread Preen. Mulch heavily, and spread Preen again. No more weeds.

I did this at my office, and it's been 2 years. I do get a weed or 2 once in a while, but I pull it as soon as I see it.
Reply:Don't be hatin the weed.
Reply:There is a couple ways to do it. Get Roundup type glyphosate weed killer. Using a paint brush just paint the weeds and don't get it on the flowers or shrubs. Glyphosate will kill any vegetation it touches on contact so don't spray it on. Get your glyphosate here;

If pulling them out by hand make sure you do it when the weeds are young. Each weed can produce 1000's of seeds so its important to get them out before they produce seeds.

Good Luck!
Reply:What ever you spray with your hose, is going to drift over and kill your flowers. You really need to get in there and weed by hand first.

After the weeds have been removed, you can use a granular product called Preen which helps control weed growth. The best solution however, is to mulch around your flowers which is very effective in keeping the weeds down.
